Femme du Coupe

We’d usually describe the femme vibe as couture, feminine, and absolutely glamourous, but we’re really starting to embrace a new ideal. Whether it’s the wedding industry, home furnishings, or an amazing and earthy cocktail recipe, rustic charm has taken this season by storm. Take note of a few examples that prove you can still be chic while incorporating a little down home influence, including one of our very own cocktails, the No. 8.

Earthy, unexpected, and refreshing, the No. 8 would be perfect after a long day’s work in the fields, but we’re sure it does the trick for a more feminine pallet as well.

1.5oz Oxley Gin

.25oz Luxardo Maraschino

.75oz Grapefruit juice

.5oz Lemon Juice

Top with Three Floyd’s Apocalypse Cow IPA

We love, love, LOVE the use of wildflowers and berries in bridal bouquets. It puts a twist on tradition with a just-picked, fresh from the garden look. Perfect for summer, right?!

Rustic, farmhouse furnishings are also making a splash this summer. The best part? For those femmes that still occupy that tiny studio apartment, it’s totally do-able! Adding a small table or some wall-hangings can truly work wonders, while keeping you up-to-date with the hottest trend.

This bedside table from Pottery Barn is just the right touch without being all Bass Pro Shop…

These plant hangings from West Elm are an easy, fresh, and pretty way to incorporate some of the outdoors into your home.

We know that a few of you were probably skeptical prior to reading this post, but we hope you’ve made the conversion! Adding some rustic, outdoorsy touches to both your drinks and your home can really work in your favor. Just remember, there’s nothing wrong with a little glamour too.

Feel free to post any of your favorites that incorporate rustic charm, we’d love to see!
